MIDDLE SCHOOL
LAWSUIT DISMISSED
A suit brought by a group of
Mililani Parents, led by Laura Brown, Jo Ann Inouye, & Guy & Penny Ontai was
dismissed by Circuit Judge Marie Milks.
The suit claimed that the department of education
failed to get the public's input on the multi-track year-round schedule.
The judge ruled that the school schedule was not a rule & did not
require public hearings. According to the parents' attorney, the judge also stated
that while the new schedule may be an inconvenience to the parents, it did not affect
their children's right to a public education.
