YOU’RE INVITED...TO JOIN THE MILILANI GARDEN CLUB

The Mililani Garden Club is looking for new members. If you’re interested in gardening, this club is for you.
The club is one of the oldest (& friendliest) club in Mililani. It’s a member of the Hawaii State Federation of Garden Clubs, with half a dozen active member clubs around the islands. It helps Mililani home-gardeners and potential gardeners grow what they want, learn about flower arranging if they are interested, and also learn about conservation.
The club meets monthly at 10am-12pm on the third Thursday at Rec Center 1 (the one next to the High School). If potential members prefer an evening meeting, the club will consider changing its meeting times.
The next meeting is November 19. The guest speaker will be a representative from the Extension Service to talk about what services the Extension offices and the Urban Garden Center in Pearl City can provide to home gardeners.
Two of the club’s most active members are Connie Riccio & Dorothy Dale. Riccio is also deeply involved in Junior Gardening at several schools. Dale is a life-long gardener with a college major in botany and an associate degree in landscape design.
For more information, contact Dorothy Dale at 625-6778 or email at dordale@lava.net.
