NEED A PLACE FOR YOUR PRIVATE FUNCTION? MTA recreation centers are available for rental to MTA members. Many of these centers have kitchen facilities where food can be prepared and served. Reservations are accepted, on a first-come-for-serve basis, up to 1 year in advance but no earlier than 10 days from the desired date. A rental agreement must be completed & submitted, with the required rental deposit, to the MTA office on Kaloapau Street before a rental reservation can be considered. An HPD off-duty officer is required if liquor is to be served, more than 100 people will be in attendance, the function will include music or dance, or when the MTA director determines that the function exposes the MTA to additional liability risks. The HPD off-duty officer requires payment not less than 60 days prior to the function. Other requirements are applicable. Call the MTA office at 623-7300 for more information.
